Bring out the family and a blanket!
The Goshen Farm Preserve annual Open House is an opportunity to learn about the Preserve and it’s efforts to keep alive a part of Colonial Maryland for visitors.
“Sometimes the most ordinary things turn out to be the most extraordinary things… So it is with the Goshen FarmHouse front porch. When General George Washington resigned his commission as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army on December 23, 1783 in Annapolis—then capital of the United States of America—that front porch was a new porch and the Goshen FarmHouse was the latest edition to an already old farm called Leonard’s Neck that stretched to the Cape St. Claire Main Beach.”
